USA Climbing Para Climbing

Para Climbing is entering an exciting new chapter.

For the first time ever, the sport will appear at the LA28 Paralympic Games, marking a major milestone for athletes and the climbing community. Four sport classes for men and women will be included in the debut Paralympic program: Men’s B1, RP1, AU2, AL2 and Women’s B2, RP1, AU2, AL2.

This is an exciting first step toward broader representation in future Games.

Since 2022, participation in Para Climbing has grown by over 130%—and with that growth, USA Climbing is working to ensure our Para athletes have the training, coaching, and competition opportunities they need to compete at the highest level.
