[Portsmouth, NH, January 31, 2025] Salt Pump Climbing Co. is offering $500 bounty to the first climber to send a replica of Burden of Dreams, a V17 boulder problem, in Finland, first sent by legendary climber, Nalle Hukkataival.
Salt Pump Portsmouth is believed to be the first and only commercial gym in the US to have the replica holds created by Core Climbing using a 3D scan of the real holds.

The $500 bounty is offered to the first climber to send the replica problem set at 35 degrees. The first climber to send the replica problem at 45 degrees, the angle of the actual climb, will receive a one-way ticket to Finland to send the real problem. Salt Pump will buy the return ticket when they send.
“We think at 35° it’s about a V-who knows; we need someone to send and let us know!” said Levi Hershey, assistant manager. “We know there are boulderers all over the world who have followed the story of the real climb as well as its replica. We know people are curious. The bounties will hopefully add some extra motivation. We can’t wait to send someone to Finland to SEND the real thing!”
