Marketing Manager
G1 Climbing + Fitness is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead and execute all marketing efforts for our gym. This role is responsible for driving membership growth, increasing event participation, and strengthening G1’s presence across the Front Range.
We’re looking for someone who can combine data-driven marketing with authentic storytelling—a marketer who understands how to grow a business while staying true to the climbing community that makes it special.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role with full ownership of marketing strategy and execution. This role will report to the CEO of the Company and is an in-person position.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Marketing Strategy
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive membership acquisition, retention, and revenue growth
- Identify target audiences and optimize the full customer journey from awareness to conversion and retention
- Track and analyze performance (campaign metrics, conversions, engagement) and continuously improve results
Content & Brand
- Own and maintain G1’s brand voice across all channels
- Create and manage content that reflects the culture, community, and experience of the gym
- Design marketing materials for digital platforms and in-gym promotions
Digital Marketing & Channels
- Manage and grow social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)
- Execute email marketing campaigns and member communications
- Maintain and optimize website content via WordPress (including basic SEO and conversion improvements)
- Plan and manage paid advertising campaigns (Meta, Google Ads)
Campaign Execution & Collaboration
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns for programs, events, and promotions
- Maintain a marketing calendar to ensure consistent and timely communication
- Collaborate with department managers to promote offerings and maximize participation
- Coordinate content creation efforts, including photo/video shoots
Community & Experience
- Create marketing that resonates with climbers and reflects the G1 community
- Stay connected to industry trends and the local climbing scene
- Support events and initiatives that build community and engagement
Project Management Standards
- Take ownership of the marketing calendar in Asana, ensuring all campaigns, promotions, and event material move from intake to launch on schedule.
- Proactively manage timelines and coordinate with department managers to ensure marketing initiatives are synchronized with gym operations.
- Keep our digital asset library (Canva/Illustrator files) organized, accessible, and up-to-date, ensuring brand consistency across all channels.
- Identify project delays early and communicate clearly with stakeholders to keep workflows moving efficiently.
Success in This Role
- Marketing campaigns and promotions are launched on time, every time, with clear alignment across all departments.
- You utilize data from our web and email platforms to drive measurable increases in membership acquisition and event participation.
- Our social, email, and web presence feels cohesive, professional, and authentically representative of the G1 community.
- You regularly report on campaign performance (using Analytics and Mailchimp metrics) and use those insights to optimize future efforts.
At G1 Climbing + Fitness, we believe in a vibrant, active workplace. To be successful in this role, candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic gym environment. This position involves:
- Mobility: Ability to move around the climbing gym facility, including navigating areas where equipment or event activities are taking place.
- Lifting/Transporting: Ability to occasionally lift and move marketing materials, event supplies, or display materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Engagement: Willingness to interact with the facility during operational hours, which may include occasional evening or weekend support for events or content creation.

Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on digital, content, or growth marketing
- Proven ability to drive measurable results (engagement, conversions, or revenue growth)
- Strong writing and content creation skills across multiple platforms
- Experience with social media, email marketing, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite)
- Familiarity with paid ads (Meta, Google) and performance tracking
- Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms
Preferred
- Passion for climbing, fitness, or outdoor recreation
- Experience building or marketing within a community-driven brand
- Basic photo/video production skills
Tech & Workflow
We operate with a structured marketing tech stack designed for clarity and creative output. You will be expected to utilize the following tools to manage your day-to-day work:
- Project Management: We manage all timelines, deliverables, and cross-departmental requests through Asana.
- Design & Content: We use Canva for day-to-day social/digital collateral and the Adobe Suite for more advanced branding and print needs.
- Email Marketing: We leverage Mailchimp to build, automate, and analyze our member communications.
- Digital Presence: We maintain our site via WordPress, focusing on SEO and conversion optimization.
Proficiency in these platforms is highly preferred, but we value candidates with strong transferrable skills in similar software (e.g., Trello/Monday, Klaviyo/Constant Contact) who are eager to master our specific stack.
Compensation & Perks
- Salary: $50,000–$65,000 (DOE)
