Nearby Activities
Rock Climbing!!
This is why the event is in Chattanooga in December! It’s the season of perfect conditions for the stellar local sandstone. Check out the Climbing Areas page on the SCC website for access details, parking information and beta. Here are some popular spots, but this only scratches the surface…
- TRAD – T-Wall and Sunset Rock are both classic single pitch predominantly trad crags close to downtown.
- SPORT – Foster Falls, Denny Cove, Woodcock Cove and Deep Creek are all classic sport areas within an hour of Chattanooga.
- BOULDERING – Stone Fort, Middle Creek, Pep Boys, Lower Pot Point Boulders and Dayton are all great bouldering spots as well.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
- Gym Climbing – The indoor climbing industry is why we are gathering, and Chatt is home to several great gyms. Check out High Point’s Riverside and Downtown locations, and Synergy for a combo climbing/ninja experience.
- Outdoor – Beyond climbing, the area boasts miles and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, as well as many caves to explore underground.
- Urban – The city of Chattanooga is packed with urban adventures, including museums, art galleries, restaurants, historical sites, and great nightlife. Downtown has a free shuttle to get you around.
