COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — CityROCK, Colorado Springs’ leading indoor climbing facility, located in the heart of downtown, announced a groundbreaking ceremony for its highly anticipated second location, CityROCK North. The event took place on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
The new facility, located at 11541 Ent Parkway, will be 32,500 square feet. Climbing walls will reach a maximum height of 55’ in the main gym, making it the largest and tallest climbing gym south of Denver. The owners and operators of CityROCK have used their two decades in the indoor climbing industry to inform the plans for the new building.
There will be separate climbing spaces for adults and youth with bouldering, auto-belays, top rope and lead climbing available in each section. Plans include dedicated rooms for training boards, free weights, cardio equipment and yoga, an outdoor play area and patio space. Thanks to the architects at Design Edge, there will be saunas in the locker rooms.
The groundbreaking marks a long-awaited, major milestone for CityROCK. Gym leadership has been working on this project since 2019. The new CityROCK North facility will expand access to indoor climbing, fitness, and community programming for residents in the north part of Colorado Springs.
