Clean Air for Climbing Gyms

ClimbLab’s E-Air electrostatic filters are designed to reduce airborne chalk and shoe-rubber dust in climbing facilities.

Chalk and shoe-rubber dust hang in the air long before you can see them. E-Air units pull that dust in, give it a charge and trap it on aluminum cassettes that staff can rinse and slide back in. No disposable filters to buy.

E-Air filters are built for chalk and rubber particles from 0.1 to 10 microns, the sizes that linger in lungs. A high-airflow fan draws dust from busy climbing walls, and units can be hung, mounted on walls or beams, or placed on closed-top boulders.

The units are A+ energy rated at 125–255 W per unit, with reusable cassettes that can be rinsed approximately every three months.

ClimbLab guarantees a 60–70% reduction in airborne dust at 3–5 clean-air changes per hour and offers before-and-after dust measurements. All models run on 110 V.

“We feel a great responsibility to provide healthy clean air for our community and staff. The air has significantly improved during rush hour.”

Mikkel Larsen, Manager, Bison Boulders (Copenhagen)

ClimbLab equipment is already helping clear the air at more than 60 gyms across North America, including Bouldering Project, Vertical World, Triangle Rock Club, Hangar 18, Edgeworks, The Circuit and Longmont Climbing Collective.

Additional ClimbLab Facility Solutions

Beyond air filtration, ClimbLab offers additional equipment designed to reduce grime, odor and heat in climbing facilities.

Finding the Right Equipment for Your Gym

Not sure how many filters your facility needs? Bold Climbing invites gym owners and operators to send their floor plan and ceiling height for sizing assistance.

ClimbLab recommends 3–6 air changes per hour for bouldering and 2–3 for roped climbing. Bold Climbing’s team can map out the units and mounts for each space.

ClimbLab equipment is available to order through Bold Climbing online or by order form, with inventory ready to ship from Los Angeles.
