Griptonite launched an integration with Redpoint HQ, connecting what climbers do on the wall with the data held in Redpoint. The integration uses a bidirectional API to unlock several new features for gyms that use both platforms.
At check-in, Griptonite sends climbers personalized route recommendations matched to their ability. The timing is ideal: they have just scanned their phone to enter the gym, so it is already in their hand as they head toward the wall.
Griptonite can also bring climbing data into Redpoint HQ, giving gyms new ways to use ability and activity data. This could help front desk staff better understand the customer in front of them, or allow marketing teams to create more relevant campaigns — from free rentals for beginners to bring-a-friend offers for experienced climbers.
Gyms can now also link campaigns to Griptonite competitions, challenges and leaderboards. For example, “13th place on this month’s leaderboard wins a free coffee”.
For Griptonite, this is just the beginning. The team has plenty more planned as it explores how climbing activity can make the wider gym experience more personal and engaging.
The integration is available at no additional cost from Griptonite to gyms that subscribe to both Griptonite and Redpoint HQ.
