Stripping Barriers, Setting Change: Help Raise Funds for Underrepresented Routesetters

The craft of routesetting is incredibly reliant on tools and it goes without saying how important it is to have access to the right tools for the job. For the past several years Bolt & Revolt, a California-based non-profit, has been working to be a tool in the belts of any Woman, Trans, and gender-non conforming individuals who are looking to get into setting, or further their skills as an already established setter.

Bolt & Revolt exists to create visibility and opportunities for setters. Through setters support, setter visibility, networking, events, and clinics, Bolt & Revolt is creating space to elevate the craft and increase participation from underserved user groups. B&R’s clinics allow setters everywhere — from local gyms and neighboring communities to traveling participants — to come learn routesetting together in a welcoming and educational environment.

Bolt and Revolt is run by a volunteer board and relies solely on the donations of collaborators, sponsors, and individual donors to fund clinics and scholarship opportunities. For this year’s annual fundraiser, Bolt & Revolt has secured some awesome prizes including B&R swag and new setting and climbing equipment from our awesome partners Edelrid, Anti-Grav, DeathGrip, Static Climbing Co, Crag to Crux, Endless Climbing, and Kilter. All donations to the fundraiser count as entries into the prize drawing. Help Bolt & Revolt hit their 2025 goal of raising $3k to further the mission of stripping away the initial barriers of routesetting and be entered to win some awesome prizes in the process!
