Job Description:
The Rock Boxx is seeking an organized and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our gym. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Oversee front desk staff, ensure schedules are created and followed, and support staff in adhering to protocols and standards.
- Point of Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for instructors, coordinating classes and programs. Address staff questions and needs effectively.
- Customer Relations: Handle customer inquiries and resolve escalated issues professionally and efficiently.
- Retail Management: Order retail items from approved vendors, manage inventory, and ensure the retail area is well-stocked and organized.
- Operational Support: Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Prior experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in the fitness, recreation, or hospitality industries.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and retail operations.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
- A passion for climbing or fitness is a plus but not required.
Schedule and Compensation:
- This is a full-time position with variable hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
