Job Description
The Marketing Coordinator is a hands-on role ensuring all marketing campaigns and initiatives are executed on time and aligned across teams by managing timelines, coordinating deliverables, and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
Compensation
- $24 – $29 / hr, DOE

This role is the operational backbone of the marketing team, ensuring that wants & ideas turn into well-executed campaigns that support member acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in climbing and/or the outdoor athletic community.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage complex moving pieces.
- Strong internal communication skills, with the ability to follow up, clarify needs, and keep stakeholders informed.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
- Experience working cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with marketing channels such as email, social media, websites, and content creation (hands-on experience a plus).
- Experience with project management tools (e.g. Asana, Monday, ClickUp, Trello, etc.) preferred.
- Strong sense of ownership around deadlines, follow-through, and accountability.
- Ability to build, improve, and follow structured processes and workflows.
- Comfort working with basic performance data (e.g. email metrics, campaign performance) to support continual reporting and improvement.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-location, or service-based business is a plus
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Rock Gym Pro, email marketing platforms, social media platforms, and CMS/CRM systems preferred.
Project Management Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the marketing content calendar, ensuring visibility and alignment across upcoming campaigns, promotions, and events.
- Coordinate marketing projects from intake through execution, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders are clearly aligned.
- Coordinate with other departments to strategize throughout campaigns.
- Support coordination of new product and program launches across marketing channels.
- Utilize project management tools to track tasks, manage intake requests, prioritize work, and maintain clear visibility across all marketing projects.
- Maintain organized marketing asset libraries, ensuring files are accessible, up-to-date, and easy to locate.
- Delegate tasks to team members to maximize efficiency based on team member skillsets, project needs, and timelines.
- Track campaign performance metrics and support reporting efforts to inform future improvements.
- Coordinate with the management team with regular meetings as needed, and reporting in management meetings.
Design, Content and Brand Responsibilities
- Coordinate timely creation of design collateral to support campaigns and events.
- Coordinate photographers and videographers to support campaigns and events.
- Develop and use design templates for both print and digital initiatives.
- Help ensure brand consistency and alignment across all initiatives.
- Delegate work to the in-house Marketing Representatives when possible & appropriate.
Email Marketing & Website Responsibilities
- Oversee the inbox for marketing@thespotgym.com including responding to and routing customer service inquiries and website form submissions to appropriate stakeholders.
- Coordinate customer lists and audience imports, including customer group tagging.
- Draft marketing copy, develop email templates and webpages, and proof content.
- Coordinate the delivery of:
- Weekly campaigns aimed at informing our customers and driving revenue.
- Targeted campaigns aimed at specific customer groups.
- Develop and coordinate email automations to support all departments. Support the implementation and coordination of email automations across departments.
- Coordinate website updates using template components.
- Assist in testing and iterating on content to improve engagement and performance.
- Collect, analyze, and report email and website metrics on a monthly basis.
Social Media Marketing Responsibilities
- Coordinate the creation and dissemination of content for campaigns and events to the overseers of each social media profile.
- Ensure 24-hour response time during weekdays.
- Support coordination of influence partnerships and collaborations.
- Coordinate paid advertising campaigns on Meta Ads.
- Research growth opportunities.
- Collect, analyze, and report social media metrics on a monthly basis while
Environmental and Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, and move around the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20lbs
- Manual dexterity required for operating a computer keyboard, handling documents, and using office equipment
- Ability to work in a confined area.
- Ability to hear and speak clearly.
- Ability to see details of objects at close range.
- Exposure to airborne chalk dust
A successful Marketing Coordinator will:
- Keep all marketing campaigns and initiatives organized, visible, and on schedule.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across departments (Operations, Programs, Events, etc.).
- Reduce bottlenecks and missed deadlines by proactively managing timelines and deliverables.
- Support consistent, high-quality execution across email, web, and social channels.
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting that helps the team improve performance over time.
