For Immediate Release – This is a rare opportunity to acquire a well-established and profitable climbing gym with a 29-year legacy. Originally established in 1996 in Sand City, California, Sanctuary Rock Gym was forced to close in 2019 due to redevelopment and fortunately, the new Sanctuary Climbing & Fitness landed just a ¼ mile away in neighboring Seaside, California , opening in 2020.

The gym is centrally located in the University Plaza Shopping Center where the Pacific Ocean breezes blow through the roll-up door. The gym occupies the site of a former 1950s grocery store and is surrounded by 7 restaurants and ample parking. Neighboring cities include Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach,  Marina, Salinas and a little further south, beautiful Big Sur.

The facility spans 10,000 square feet and features 6000 sq ft of Entre-Prises climbing walls ranging from 16 to 18 feet high equipped with 15 top ropes and 3 auto-belays. Added amenities include Flashed flooring,  MoonBoard, Treadwall, Clift Wall, MoveStrong Arch, KleanHolds machine, 1 fully equipped fitness/weight studio, 1 yoga/fitness studio, retail area, and an established aerial arts program and much more!

This turnkey operation is ready for the next stewards to carry the legacy forward for another 30 years. The current owners are retiring to pursue climbing adventures of their own.

Serious inquiries only. Please contact Sanctuary@rockgym.com. Kindly refrain from contacting the gym or its employees directly—they are aware the business is for sale but do not have any details to share.
