August 28, 2025 – Asana Climbing has announced the release of its new Pallet of Pads Padding System, offering climbing gyms and training facilities a streamlined solution for fall protection that balances durability, flexibility, and ease of maintenance.
Unlike traditional flooring installations that require extensive onsite build-out, Asana’s modular system ships as a pallet of nine fully stuffed pads. Each unit can be set up or stowed in less than 30 minutes, creating a 9′ x 12′ x 8″ landing area. For larger walls or zones, multiple pallets can be combined to cover expanded footprints, making the system well-suited for both permanent and multi-use spaces.
The design also reflects a growing industry emphasis on serviceability and long-term cost control. Pads, seam covers, toppers, and foam layers can all be replaced individually, extending the life of the system and minimizing downtime.
System Details
- Foam Construction: Dual-density open and closed cell foams, with an optional 1″ cross-linked closed cell layer for when the time comes to update and refresh.
- Shell: 1000 denier nylon with triple stitching at stress points, perimeter Velcro, and two drag handles per pad. Easy foam removal for servicing.
- Seam Covers: Laminated covers connect drag pads and reinforce attachment points.
- Ballistic Topper: 1680 denier ballistic nylon cover provides continuous, edge-to-edge landing surface by concealing seam covers. Water-resistant, removable, and service-friendly.
Specifications
- Pallet Dimensions: 49″ x 40″ x 83″ (215 lbs)
- Pad Dimensions: 48″ x 36″ x 8″ each; nine pads combine to form a 9′ x 12′ x 8″ system
“With more gyms looking for adaptable, long-lasting, affordable flooring solutions that are easy to maintain, we designed this system to be both practical and durable,” said Jamey Sproull, Owner. “Operators can replace individual components as needed, keeping facilities fresh without committing to a full flooring overhaul.”
