Washington, DC — Bouldering Project has signed a lease to open a new climbing gym at DC USA Mall in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington, DC.

The approximately 38,000-square-foot space, located at 3100 14th Street NW, will feature expansive bouldering terrain, youth climbing areas, fitness and yoga programming, and community spaces. The new location will complement Bouldering Project’s existing Eckington gym, which opened in 2021, with members having access to both locations.

Construction planning is underway, with additional details — including opening timing — to be announced.

About Bouldering Project:
Founded in Seattle in 2011, Bouldering Project has grown from its initial location into a collection of thirteen gyms across the country. The company is an anomaly in the climbing gym space in that it designs and builds all of its walls. Equally as comfortable hosting Olympic athletes as introducing new climbers to the sport, Bouldering Project is committed to uniting communities through a love of difficult play.
