Denver, CO — October 7, 2025 — This December, Movement Centennial will host the first-ever U.S. clinic featuring Tokyo’s world-renowned B-Pump Ogikubo team. Led by Katsuaki “Katsu” Miyazawa and Tsukuru Hori, the four-day clinic (December 10–13, 2025) will introduce the Katsu Method of routesetting and athlete training to the American climbing community.

The collaboration aims to grow routesetting capability across the Colorado region, offering new training opportunities for experienced setters ready to expand their craft. It also establishes a template for partnership among gyms statewide and internationally, creating a pathway for ongoing exchange of ideas and styles.

For athletes, the clinic offers the rare chance to receive direct coaching from Katsu and Tsukuru themselves, in addition to climbing on problems set in collaboration with Colorado-based setting teams. Athletes from across the U.S. are encouraged to apply. This unique exposure to Japanese-style climbing is designed to prepare senior and junior level athletes for the 2026 championship season, giving them an edge in competition movement and strategy.

By bringing the Japanese style to the U.S., Movement and B-Pump are working together to elevate the standard of routesetting and athlete preparation nationwide.
