FA is seeking a proactive, friendly, and independent individual to serve as a Facilities Specialist. As a Facilities Specialist, you will work closely with our Facilities Coordinator to ensure that each of our Chicagoland gyms are looking great, functioning properly and delivering an exceptional experience for our members and guests.
This position reports directly to the Facilities Coordinator.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance and repair
-
Water fountain, chalk filtration, and HVAC filter replacements; climbing floor upkeep; fitness equipment maintenance

Locker door and lock repairs; light ballast replacement; toilet and faucet repair; paint touchup and drywall repair

Preventative maintenance
-
Inspecting various aspects of the facility to ensure potential issues are addressed
-

Improvements
-
Furniture and fixture construction; light carpentry; fitness equipment installation; lighting installation; flooring installation; other equipment installation

Emergency repair preparedness
-
Water leak, electrical issues, and equipment failure

Collaborating with management to ensure each gym’s needs are being met
REQUIREMENTS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience preferred

Knowledgeable in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and painting

Independently motivated

Ability to travel to all Chicagoland locations on a regular basis

Lift certification or prior experience preferred
