PRESS RELEASE

Climb Nashville, one the Southeast’s premiere climbing facilities, announces the opening of a second location as well as the upcoming relocation of their original gym to a new facility. After nearly 10 years in business, owners Drew Sloss and Lance Brock expand their vision to accommodate a changing fitness landscape in Nashville.

Climb Nashville East opened its doors in December with a new neighborhood gym concept, which consists primarily of bouldering (shorter climbing walls that do not require ropes) and fitness offerings.
“This gym is in a busy, vibrant area with lots of bike and pedestrian traffic,” says Sloss, a long-time East Nashville resident. “We are very excited about serving the amazing, active community across the river as well as giving long time customers more climbing options. We think this type of urban climbing facility in a mixed-use development is one of the first of its kind. So in this case, smaller is better.”

Construction of a brand new, ground-up building to replace its current location has also begun. “It’s an exciting time to be relocating to Charlotte Avenue. There is a lot of energy in that corridor and we look forward to being a part of that excitement,“ says Brock.

“At the end of the day, we are a small business. We are passionate about our city, our families and our dreams. I think it’s why Nashville has experienced such growth over the past decade… it is full of people living out their dreams. Nashville has been good to us and we are excited to expand on our vision to another generation of climbers,” he adds.

Expected to open mid-summer, Climb Nashville’s new West facility will be more than 17,000 SF with 20,000 SF of climbing terrain, which is much larger than the existing 12,000 SF gym. The new building is located at 3600 Charlotte Avenue and features walls measuring as high as fifty feet vertically. The building’s three-story front that will allow larger support spaces such as workout room, yoga/fitness class space, restrooms and locker area.

Climb Nashville East (1900 Eastland Ave, Suite 104) adds over 4,000 SF of bouldering and top-roping to Climb Nashville’s capacity as well as a workout space and a dedicated yoga/fitness classroom. Seventeen new fitness and yoga weekly classes in addition to the fifteen already offered at the West location.

Climb Nashville opened in 2003 with its Sylvan Park and has served over 100,000 customers in the last 10 years. Memberships include access both gyms and unlimited fitness and yoga classes. Gym staff includes personal trainers for one-on-one and small group coaching. Day passes are available at both gyms as are youth camps, after-school programs, personal climbing instruction, outdoor guiding, corporate team-building and birthday parties.
