November 11, 2025Garden City, Idaho – Asana Climbing just dropped the Focus Crash Pad, a refreshed take on one of their most proven designs. It’s simple, durable, and made to take a beating—exactly what most boulderers are looking for.

The Focus keeps things straightforward with a three-layer foam system that balances soft landings with solid ground stability. It folds in half with a hinge design for easy carry and a dependably flat landing surface when open. The heavy-duty nylon shell, reinforced handles, and ergonomic shoulder straps make it feel right at home on your back during the approach.

“Asana has always been about making gear that lasts,” said Jamey Sproull, President of Asana Climbing. “The Focus is just the right blend of clean design and solid performance—it’s a pad that a new climber can enjoy as much as a seasoned veteran.”

Asana also brags about the pad’s weight—coming in at an unheard-of 11 pounds. Jamey adds, “We got this one down to fighting weight.”

The Focus Crash Pad comes in two colorways, Agate and Geode, and is available at asanaclimbing.com and through select Asana dealers.

Designed and based in Idaho, Asana has been all about crash pads for outdoor boulderers and landing systems for climbing gyms for over 25 years. They’re proud to be Everything Bouldering.
