The event happens every two years and brings together the top youth climbers ages 12 to 19 from ten countries throughout the Americas. The 328 climbers competed in three disciplines, lead, bouldering and speed climbing.

US routesetters also represented by sending National Chief Setter Luke Bertelsen to Chief the lead portion of the event and National Setter Dave Wetmore to Chief the bouldering crew.
