Press Release:
Climbing Wall Association (CWA) announced the selection of Daniel and David Chancellor as the keynote presenters for this year’s Climbing Wall Summit presented by Walltopia. The presentation will detail the marketing and business strategies that have led to the success of So iLL’s hold and climbing gym businesses.

“Dave and Dan have supported the Summit for many years”, says CWA CEO Bill Zimmermann. “They are skilled marketers and have shown an aptitude for branding and marketing to a young demographic. We think they will be a great addition to our event.”

From woodies to mega-gyms and small scale manufacturing to worldwide distribution, the climbing industry has experienced tremendous growth over the past decade. Daniel and David Chancellor of So iLL have closely followed this upward trajectory.

During college, Daniel sold his Volkswagen to finance So iLL’s first set of climbing hold molds. The early days consisted of dial-up internet and calling cards. Business lessons came quickly and vision became reality. Adaptation led to expansion into international markets, new product categories, and a recent entrance into gym ownership.

Spurred on by a fresh approach to branding and an aptitude for marketing to a younger demographic, the Chancellor brothers have solidified their strong and identifiable brand. Join us for the Summit’s Keynote Address to find out what 12 years of industry experience has taught them about marketing, business strategy, adaptation, and the guiding desire to serve the indoor rock climbing industry.

A few industry secrets will be shared during the presentation.

Now in its 8th year, the Climbing Wall Summit is the climbing wall industry’s only professional development conference. Participants from across the globe attend the Summit to network, learn, and meet with top vendors. Previous keynote speakers include climbing legend Chris Sharma, Chris Warner of Earth Treks, and climbing writer Dougald MacDonald. Registration for the Summit is now open at CWA
