Upper Limits Rock Climbing Gym is seeking a full-time, experienced General Manager at our Bloomington
Normal, Illinois location. Climbing skills are not necessary but preferred. We are looking for a
self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with an entrepreneurial attitude to co-manage the development and

Desired Qualifications and Work Style:
● Bachelor’s degree in, Recreation Management, Business Administration or related work
● Prior work in customer service environment preferred
● Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Quickbooks Desktop
● Professional appearance and manner with excellent customer service skills
● Dependable, self-confident, mature and able to work independently
● Flexible, eager to learn and willing to adapt to new responsibilities
● Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management abilities
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Strong financial skills
● Demonstrate initiative, able to identify and solve problems,
● Precise, detail-oriented and effective with follow-up
● Weekends required; tentative schedule is Thursday-Sunday
● Able to stay late and/or arrive early, as needed

Responsibilities include:
Day-to-day operation of the facility, policy development, supervision of designated staff, business
planning, budgeting, website, computer system and inventory management, program and customer
instruction, safety, service, and relations. The General Manager also performs or schedules and oversees
maintenance of facilities and equipment and a range of related duties under the general direction of the
Owner and other authorized company representatives.
