Janitorial coordinator

As the Janitorial Coordinator you would work closely with the Owner, Gym Manager, and Gym Directors to provide members with consistently well cleaned and maintained spaces. In total you would be responsible for the cleanliness of our climbing gym including the building exterior, bathrooms, locker rooms, showers, climbing areas, fitness and cardio areas and equipment, and yoga studios. Ownership of the customer experience includes professionalism of cleaning staff and contractors, cleanliness results, well stocked toiletries and amenities. Most of your time would be spent completing janitorial tasks, working with staff, contractors, and communicating and advancing the cleaning duties/responsibilities of other gym staff across all departments. As a part of our management team, you are also a part of the overall success of the business. You will have to work well with the rest of management and with our team of staff.

Job Responsibilities

∙ Manage janitorial contractors. Work with these contractors to maintain a genuinely clean facility.

∙ Clean. As the Janitorial Coordinator you would be expected to be able and willing to complete any cleaning task that needs to be done.

∙ Coordinate with the Owner to identify necessary cleaning projects and ensure that spaces are well stocked with amenities and janitorial supplies.

∙ Provide regular and productive feedback/reviews to contractors to support continuous and improved gym cleanliness.

Requirements

∙ At least 6 months of commercial janitorial experience

∙ Leadership experience

Nice to Have:

∙ At least 2 years of rock climbing and/or bouldering experience

Wages

$17.45-$20/hr depending on experience.
