At The Front Climbing Club, we’re more than just a gym-we’re a vibrant community hub built around climbing, movement, and connection. We’re looking for enthusiastic, service-minded individuals to join our Gym Staff team in Ogden.
What You’ll Do:
As part of the Gym Staff, you’ll be the face of The Front-helping guests, members, and the community feel welcomed and supported. You’ll manage the front desk, oversee daily operations, monitor the climbing floor for safety, and contribute to the overall vibe of the gym.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in members and guests, enforce waivers, and provide facility tours.
- Manage memberships, assist with sign-ups, and maintain accurate information.
- Handle calls and in-person questions about events, memberships, and offerings.
- Process retail sales, returns, and transactions-including merchandise and gear.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment through regular cleaning and upkeep.
- Monitor the climbing floor, enforce safety protocols, and perform belay tests and orientations.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to guests, including basic climbing instruction.
- Support events, competitions, and promotional efforts.
- Use tools like iPads to report maintenance needs and safety concerns.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of professional experience (a combination of work, education, or training).
- Friendly, approachable, and service-driven personality with strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Background in customer service, sales, or hospitality (bonus if you’ve worked in a climbing gym or with Rock Gym Pro).
- Passion for climbing and a desire to share that stoke with others.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and variable shifts.
- CPR/First Aid and Utah Alcohol Certification required upon hire.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook).
- Hospitality or hotel experience is a strong plus!
