    JOB SUMMARY

    The Experiential Designer will create and implement immersive design elements that bring the Movement brand to life in our climbing gyms. This role focuses on integrating 2D and 3D designs, large-scale graphics, and thoughtful space planning to create unique, brand-aligned experiences in both new and acquired locations. This role sits within the Creative Department and reports to the Creative Director and will work closely with the New Gym Development team, serving as a key liaison for gym design projects.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Create 2D and 3D designs that reflect our brand identity and incorporate local/regional aesthetics
    • Develop experiential design concepts for new locations and adapt existing spaces in acquired gyms
    • Plan and execute large-scale printing projects, including murals and vinyl graphics
    • Coordinate with third party designers and vendors to design and execute creative elements that maintain a cohesive brand identity.
    • Select and coordinate furniture purchases to enhance the look and feel of gym spaces
    • Provide input on interior and climbing wall color schemes for new builds and location updates
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive decision-making on design elements
    • Serve as the primary gym liaison for projects involving 2D and 3D design elements
    • Ensure consistent brand representation across all gym locations while allowing for local character

    JOB REQUIREMENTS 

    • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, experiential or environmental design or related field
    • 5+ years of experience in experiential or environmental design
    • Strong skills in 2D and 3D design, with proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp)
    • Experience with large-scale printing processes and materials
    • Knowledge of furniture selection and space planning
      Understanding of color theory and its application in physical spaces
    • Excellent project management and communication skills
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
    • Portfolio demonstrating creative solutions in branded environments and experiential design
    • Experience in translating brand guidelines into physical spaces
    • Knowledge and experience in rock climbing, fitness, and/or outdoor industry a plus.
    • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced remote environment, balance many tasks, and adhere to hard deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
    • Travel is required

    • The pay range for this position starts at $67,000 and may increase based on experience and qualifications
