    Role: Human Resources Generalist

    Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

    Type of Position: Full-Time Salary

    Job Description: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the HR functions within the company. The primary duties of this role encompass a range of HR-related tasks including employee onboarding, benefits enrollment, HRIS management, and records maintenance. The HR Generalist will perform data entry, manage HR databases, assist in the preparation and design of reports, maintain administrative files, and liaison with ADP, our payroll processor and HRIS system. Additional responsibilities include handling confidential information with discretion, assisting in HR project implementations, and ensuring all HR processes and policies are communicated effectively and adhered to within the organization. The Human Resources Generalist will consistently uphold a high standard of professionalism and is expected to address any queries or issues by referring them to the appropriate parties promptly, ensuring all matters are resolved efficiently.

    Compensation: $56,000-$67,000 annual salary DOE

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 1+ year work experience in the Human Resources field
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace software suites.
    • Skilled in designing and managing reports; capable of manipulating, extracting, and interpreting relevant HR data.
    • Excellent comprehension skills for both written and verbal communication.
    • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized four-year college or university strongly preferred
    • Comprehensive understanding of HR functions including employee onboarding, offboarding, and records maintenance.
    • Proficient in data entry and database management.
    • Experience with HRIS systems; proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Support HR Processes: Provide robust administrative support to ensure efficient operation and accurate record keeping within the HR Department. Assist with the administration of HR-related documentation, such as contracts, recruitment paperwork, and employee handbooks.
    • Enhance Employee Onboarding and Offboarding: Facilitate a smooth and welcoming onboarding process for new hires by coordinating orientation sessions and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and processed. Support the offboarding process for departing employees to ensure a smooth transition and enhance company learning.
    • Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits. Help employees navigate benefits enrollment and address any inquiries related to benefits, ensuring all employees receive the correct information and support.
    • HRIS Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data within the HR Information System – We currently utilize ADP Workforce Now with Comprehensive HR. Ensure the integrity of the data through regular audits and updates. Utilize HRIS to generate reports that help track key HR metrics and inform decision-making.
    • Compliance and Policy Enforcement: Assist in ensuring that the company’s HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Help communicate HR policies to staff and ensure that company policies are applied consistently across all departments. Handle employee related claims including workman’s comp and unemployment.
    • Training and Development Support: Coordinate logistics for training sessions, workshops, and professional development courses. Assist in tracking participation and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. Support the development and implementation of new training initiatives that align with organizational goals.
      Employee Relations and Engagement: Support efforts to enhance employee engagement and maintain positive employee relations. Assist in organizing staff events, managing feedback surveys, and implementing initiatives aimed at boosting workplace morale.
    • Project Management: Participate in HR projects, such as the implementation of new HR technologies or processes. Provide administrative support in project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure successful outcomes.
      Performance Management Assistance: Support the HR team in managing the performance review process. Help prepare necessary documentation, schedule review meetings, and ensure follow-up actions are communicated and completed.
    • Supervise HR Assistant: Work with, train and supervise the HR Assistant to best coordinate and handle the responsibilities of the HR department effectively.
      Other duties as assigned.
