With distinctive facilities and a passion for youth development, we’re looking for a Youth Programs Instructor to help shape the future of our sport.
About the Role
As a Youth Programs Instructor, you’ll work hands-on with young climbers of all ages and skill levels in our After-School Programs, birthday parties, youth groups, and climbing teams. You’ll be part of a team that fosters an inclusive, fun, and developmentally appropriate environment while helping youth grow in both skill and confidence.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about climbing, teaching, and community. You’ll play a vital part in creating memorable experiences while ensuring safety, structure, and enthusiasm in every session.
What You’ll Do
- Lead engaging climbing instruction and training for youth programs.
- Promote responsible climbing behavior and enforce gym policies.
- Foster a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for participants.
- Provide exceptional customer service to kids, parents, and guests.
- Collaborate with team members during trainings, events, and meetings.
- Support facility cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure participants remain in designated areas and respect member space.
What We’re Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience in climbing instruction or youth programs (preferred).
- A minimum of five years of combined professional or educational experience.
- Passion for working with youth and a knack for motivating kids positively.
- Strong communication skills and high energy.
- First Aid and CPR certifications (required); CWI training available.
- Availability during afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- Must pass SafeSport certification prior to start (cost covered by us).
- Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
