Job Summary
The Youth Program Coordinator is the organizational backbone of our youth classes and recreational and competitive team programs. The coordinator supports other youth coaches and instructors, while learning from and working alongside our experienced national level coaches. They maintain high customer service standards and strong relationships with members and parents. Most importantly, the coordinator inspires young climbers, encouraging them to develop a passion for rock climbing. Their dedication and stoke helps create a welcoming and inspiring community for climbers of all ages.
Duties
In addition to coaching and coordinating they will support day-to-day operations of the gym which may include floor monitoring and front desk support. They will collaborate with our leadership team through regular meetings and use of online tools, helping to create accountability in completing tasks
Accountability – This position is primarily accountable for the culture, quality and sustainability of the youth programs, specifically:
- Youth Program Calendar: class and practice schedules, events
- Summer Camp administration: registration, curriculum, schedules
- Youth Classes: registration, curriculum, schedules
- Team Roster: tracking athlete development, recruitment and on-boarding.
- Team Practices: coaching assignments, training programs and tracking athlete development
- Team Culture: Handbook, Social Media, Monthly emails, uniforms
- Event Hosting & Competition Coaching: communications, planning, and reporting
- USAC Memberships & Certifications for staff and competitors
This position is essential for fostering a supportive environment where young people can thrive, learn, and become active members of the climbing community.
