Requirements:
- Previous experience working with youth in a coaching, teaching, or mentorship role.
- Strong in-person and remote communication skills.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to analyze movement and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to maintain a positive environment for teenage athletes in high-pressure training situations.
- Weekday, afternoon availability and willingness to work weekends.
Competitive Coach Application Requirements:
- All of the above requirements.
- Minimum of 4 years of climbing experience and proficiency in lead climbing and belaying .
- Knowledge of USA Climbing competition formats, rules, and strategies.
- Proficiency in lead climbing and belaying.
- Careful attention to detail and the ability to analyze movement and provide insightful feedback.
- Ability to support teenage athletes in an often stressful training environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Passion for climbing and previous competition experience.
- Commitment to the program and desire for long-term involvement.
- Eagerness to pursue professional development as a coach.
Responsibilities:
- Lead regular climbing practices, demonstrating confidence and expertise.
- Develop and implement structured training programs tailored to various skill levels.
- Maintain open communication with coaching staff to discuss scheduling, athlete development, and practice feedback.
- Complete SafeSport training and adhere strictly to the coaches’ code of conduct.
- Support athletes during competitions and training camps on weekends and during weekday afternoons.
