Role & Responsibilities:
The role includes all facets of climbing gym responsibilities – including routesetting, instruction, and supervision. As the first point of contact for our climbers, you are the face of our operations and serve as a knowledgeable resource. Treating our climbers and each other with kindness and respect is central to what we do, regardless of skill level. Our dedication as climbing experts is demonstrated through our routesetting, instruction, and personalized engagement with our community.
Job Duties:
- Greet and support our climbers
- Maintain log of daily attendance
- Provide and maintain rental equipment
- Perform gym orientations for new climbers
- Conduct frequent walk-throughs to monitor and maintain safety and cleanliness
- Routesetting boulders and routes weekly, reporting directly to Head Routesetter
- Instructing programs for beginner, intermediate, and advanced climbers
- Cleaning and sorting holds as needed
- Maintaining PPE Standards and best practices
- Solve, report, and/or escalate safety and maintenance issues
- Complete CPR/First Aid certification within first 90 days
- Experience working in a gym, climbing gym, or climbing wall is a plus!
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency with basic computer systems (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Positive mindset and work ethic
- Occasional lifting of large holds, volumes, and buckets
- Comfortable engaging with people you don’t know from different walks of life
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a fun, productive work environment

Ability to climb V7/5.12 is a plus!
