Description of Position – As part time Setter, your primary role is to create climbing routes and boulder problems that provide a better climbing experience to all members and visitors of the Source Climbing Center.
Essential Duties
- Building positive relationships with customers
- Weekly Hold Maintenance
- Weekly Wall Maintenance
- Route Setting & Quality Control,
- Operating POS software
- Monitoring facility for smart climbing practices
- Maintaining a clean and healthy environment
- Understand and follow the Source Climbing Center Staff Manual
- Being on time, attending all staff meetings, and find substitute staff for any shifts missed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb and work-at-height up to 40’ with the use fall protection.
- Ability to climb and work-at-height up to 20’ with the use of a ladder.
- Ability to lift weight up to 50lbs.
- Ability to sit in harness for up to 60 min
- Maintain physical activity for up to 6hrs
Required Climbing Experience
- Demonstrate high-level of climbing movement skills.
- Climb 5.11 top rope or better without falls.
- Boulder V5 or better
- Understand proper care, use, and inspection of climbing equipment.
- demonstrate proficient belay technique
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid, CPR certified
- Competitive climbing experience
- CWI certification
- Work-at-height Training
Schedule Requirements
- Available 16-20 hours per week.
- Ability to work nights and weekends
Compensation Package
- Compensation: $20/hour entry level
