G1 Climbing + Fitness is seeking an innovative and strategic Marketing Manager to spearhead the development and execution of marketing strategies that enhance our brand visibility and foster increased member engagement and event participation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and an excellent writer with the ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating across teams. A passion for climbing, and understanding its culture, is essential for success in this role.

You will work closely with other department heads to create and execute marketing efforts that attract new climbers, retain current members, and elevate G1’s presence throughout the Front Range.

Key Responsibilities

Content and Brand Strategy

  • Develop and manage marketing strategies to drive sales, including expanding our social media presence to keep both current and potential members informed.
  • Collaborate with team members and external partners to integrate messaging across campaigns and platforms, including social media, blogs, emails, and ads.
  • Design engaging marketing materials for social media, emails, website, and in-gym displays.
  • Write and edit authentic, on-brand content for various channels that aligns with G1’s voice and engages target audiences.
  • Write and distribute press releases to promote G1’s events and initiatives.

Project and Team Management

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring all objectives align with G1’s goals.
  • Create comprehensive briefs for internal teams and external partners, clearly outlining project goals, expectations, and timelines.
  • Work alongside department managers to synchronize marketing initiatives for maximum impact.
  • Partner with the CEO to manage marketing budgets and ensure alignment with overall financial objectives.
  • Maintain a detailed marketing calendar to organize promotions, events, and content.

Digital Marketing, Email, and Website Management

  • Lead the review and approval process for marketing communications, ensuring alignment with G1’s brand standards.
  • Maintain and update G1’s website through WordPress, ensuring the content is fresh, relevant, and aligned with business goals.
  • Use tools like Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite to track performance and optimize marketing efforts.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns in Mailchimp to keep current members informed and attract new climbers.
  • Oversee and grow G1’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) by creating content that builds community engagement.
  • Lead photoshoots, including planning shot lists, schedules, and timelines.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on marketing materials from other brands across industries to stay informed on trends, messaging, and creative strategies.
  • Actively participate in management meetings to ensure marketing efforts align with the broader goals of the organization.
  • Uphold G1’s policies and foster a safe, professional environment for all participants and staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by facility management.

Ideal Candidates Include

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, focusing on digital marketing, content strategy, or brand management.
  • An avid rock climber that currently and actively climbs, with at least two years of climbing experience, deeply connected to the climbing community and culture.
  • Experienced in managing paid ads (Meta Ads, Google Ads) and analyzing performance data.
  • Knowledgeable in SEO, web analytics, and optimizing content for engagement and conversion.
  • Comfortable managing websites via WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
  • Proficient with social media management tools and email marketing platforms.
  • A skilled writer who can create compelling social media posts, email campaigns, and website copy.
  • Proven success in driving growth through strategic marketing campaigns.
  • A proactive and adaptable team player with a growth-oriented mindset.

Projected Salary Range: $50,000–$65,000 (DOE)
