Job Brief
We are looking for a passionate and qualified Marketing Assistant. In this role, the candidate would help with a wide array of marketing and office tasks including social media management and data research. The successful candidate will create website posts on WordPress, email campaigns in MailChimp, social media posts with Meta and other platforms, edit graphics and videos in Canva, and use Google Sheets extensively for project organization and data collection.
This is a ground floor opportunity with a growing business – over time this role could grow into a coordinator or manager position. The working hours are very flexible and allow for weekdays out of office – we focus on deliverables and deadlines. This role will begin with a 90 day trial period.

General Weekly, Monthly Responsibilities
- Professionally represent CBJ and further CBJ core values as the leading source of news, trends and advice in the indoor climbing industry
- Participate in regular team communication (emails and group calls)
- Take initiative and push various marketing projects forward simultaneously
- Provide marketing and administrative support
- Weekly responsibilities may include:
- Creating and configuring posts in WordPress, as well as handling routine website tasks/maintenance
- Creating and sending newsletters in MailChimp
- Monitor social media and prepare weekly postings on a variety of platforms
- Conducting research and collecting data
- Supporting other marketing projects
- Basic image and video editing
- Monthly responsibilities may include
- Updating mailing lists
- Preparing podcasts and videos for publication
- Maintaining databases and spreadsheets
- Updating social media highlights
- Tracking social media performance and identifying trends
- This role may propose additional responsibilities related to their skills and professional interests.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with WordPress
- Proficient with modern software including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace
- Experience with social media and marketing tools including Meta, MailChimp, Canva
- Comfort with using AI for daily tasks
- Past experience with climbing gyms or brands is a plus
- Must have a computer and high speed internet available for work
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation commensurate with experience, $15-$20/hour
