Facility Sales Manager
TTC Head Routesetter
Location: Tension Climbing HQ – 6425 Washington St., Denver, CO 80229
Compensation: $60,000-70,000/year (salaried, non-exempt)
Schedule: 36–40 hours/week

The Facility Sales Manager is responsible for managing and co-developing our sales strategy specific to facilities (gyms, training centers, etc.) around the globe. They will be responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of Tension Climbing’s entire product line, in particular, the newly emerging BENT hold line. Operating as our primary commercial/industry professional and spokesperson, they will be expected to stay relevant and up-to-date with industry-specific developments (especially as it pertains to routesetting). This position will report to the Sales Director and (when necessary) the Managing Director.
Secondarily, this position will operate as the Tension Training Center’s Head Routesetter. This is an emerging role in which the TTC Head Routsetter will be responsible for the management and development of routesetting at the TTC. Further expectations for this role include:
- Active participation in Marketing efforts for the promotion of both BENT and Tension products
- Continual efforts to expand routesetting knowledge through clinics (potential for both attending and facilitating) and the USA Climbing Routesetting certification process
- Co-development of continuing education efforts for routesetters, coaches, and athletes
- Co-development of the BENT product line.
This portion of the position will report to the Managing Director.
Preferred Qualifications:
- USAC Level 3 or above
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong organizational capacity
- Professional presentation and communication skills
- Comfortable interacting with and working in front of a camera
Requirements:
- Located within (or willing to relocate to) a commutable distance of Tension Climbing HQ (6425 Washington St. Denver, CO 80229)
- Currently or recently working within routesetting in a primary capacity
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- A compelling vision for routesetting and the drive to make it a reality
Hours and Compensation:
While this position is a salaried role, it is not overtime exempt and will require one to clock in and out with the expectation of a 36-40 hour work week. The starting salary range for this position is $60,000-70,000/year depending on experience.
