POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As the Sales Development Manager at Escape Climbing, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales efforts, customer relationship management, and data-informed decision-making. This role bridges direct customer interaction, distributor support, and internal collaboration across marketing and product teams. You’ll represent Escape Climbing both digitally and in-person, quoting all climbing wall projects, managing hold packages for potential customers, and helping grow our “Gear” category to be competitive with other large outdoor companies.

 

At the current size of Escape a Sales Development manager will do the high level strategy, while also doing the day to day customer interactions with potential clients.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Work with all potential and existing customers to quote out Climbing Walls, Padding, and Hold Packages.
  • Respond to all potential sales emails and calls in a timely fashion.
  • Work with all existing gear distributors to provide sales help when necessary. 
  • Create and execute on new sales strategies to reach new customers and expand our sales with existing customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Promote Escape Climbing at Festivals and Trade Shows.
  • Create pricing strategies and plans to push Escape Climbing products in new and existing markets.
  • Travel to potential customers and meet with buyers for gear demos and meetings
  • Provide insight into marketing assets and projects needed to elevate Escape Climbing Products.
  • Collect sales data to make more informed decisions on strategies moving forward
  • Analyze tons of data from customers and the website to create best in class sales strategies
  • Work with the marketing and product development team to help develop products to improve customers’ experience.
  • All employees are expected to help in any position when needed
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job whenever scheduled to work (attendance and reliable transportation are necessary). 
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.
